| hi all,
Just a quick question about the new interchage rules for substitutions in AL1 reserves. Will there be a way of policing this to save from teams destroying the last 10/15 mins of tight games with endless substitutions at every oportunity to slow the game down? What will we as referees be expected to do? I'm just seeing coaches and managers getting very wound up (and I will be able to see their point!) when chasing a game.

In a word. No. It is not the referee's concern if the coach the coach 'uses' the rules to his advantage.If the situation was reversed, the complaining coach would do the same!
If a coach calls for a sub, you have to do it. Not your problem. Don't forget to restart your watch after the player has come on!
